2011 MAC Donors and Football Season Ticket Holders Can Request
Current Mountaineer Athletic Club donors and WVU football season ticket holders are
encouraged to submit their priority bowl ticket requests online today!
In an effort to accommodate as many priority requests as possible with the best available seating, there are order limits on the priority requests for the 2012 Discover Orange Bowl and the Allstate Sugar Bowl. MAC donors and season ticket holders are encouraged to log-in to their online account today and submit their online request to take advantage of their priority status. All priority requests will be allocated with the best available seating based on MAC priority.
If the Mountaineers are selected to participate in either of the BCS Bowls listed above, there will be an opportunity beginning Monday for MAC donors and season ticket holders to order additional tickets in non-priority seating locations within the WVU allotment. Based on availability, there will also be an opportunity to upgrade the additional non-priority requests once all priority requests have been received and processed.
General public sales will also begin Monday through the Mountaineer Ticket Office.
Simply follow the instructions below to submit your priority bowl ticket request:
1. Log-on WVUGAME.com and click GET TICKETS under General Public Tickets; then click “Season Renewals”
a) If you have not previously activated your online account using your Customer Number and the onetime PIN included in your bowl mailing, click on Activate Now and complete your online registration.
b) If you have already activated your online account with your Customer Number and onetime PIN, simply login with the email address and password you used to create your account. If you have forgotten your password, please click on "Forgot My Password", enter your email address, and your password will be emailed to you.
2. Once you're logged in, click on your 2011 Football Bowl Application to submit your request. You will be asked to enter your credit card information on the application, however, your credit card will only be charged if you requested tickets for the bowl game the Mountaineers are participating in. If WVU does not participate in a bowl game that you select, you will not be charged for those tickets.
Hall Of Fame Set For Saturday

West Virginia University will hold its 21st annual Sports Hall of Fame induction on Saturday
prior to the WVU-Connecticut football game.
Induction ceremonies will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility. The public is invited to attend and the event is free of charge.
The 2011 class includes Warren Baker (basketball), Canute Curtis (football), Joseph Harrick (football, baseball, wrestling, track), Jim Heise (baseball), Pat Itanyi Williams (women's indoor and outdoor track) and Steve Newberry (football).

Fans can pick up will call orders at the North end of the stadium beginning at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday.
Tickets for WVU students will be issued on a game-by-game basis to students who register at WVUGAME.com and print out a ticket no earlier than six days before game day. There is no charge for student tickets, and students must show their ticket and valid ID for entrance. No student tickets will be available at the stadium.
A reminder: all persons regardless of age require a ticket for admittance to WVU football games.
ESPN College GameDay Show Set for Mountainlair Plaza

ESPNs College GameDay Show will broadcast live from the West Virginia University Mountainlair Plaza on Saturday, Sept. 24. GameDay Show tapings for various ESPN Networks will begin on Friday, Sept. 23, at 8 a.m., and will run through the afternoon. ESPNU will broadcast the show on Saturday morning from 9-10 a.m., while ESPNs main portion will follow from
10 a.m. - noon.
Fans will be allowed into the GameDay compound on Saturday beginning at 7 a.m. All fans are invited to attend the tapings on both days. ESPN College GameDay will have final approval on all signs and apparel that are permitted in and around the set. The following are prohibited in the pit area directly behind the College GameDay stage: alcohol, food, drinks, footballs, hard helmets, signs on sticks or polls, large bags and backpacks. All signs must be hand-held. Small purses will be allowed into the pit area. Fans wishing to hold appropriate signs and flags on sticks or poles will be permitted to outside of the pit area. Due to the sets central location on the WVU downtown campus, several parking and traffic restrictions will be in place.
This weekend marks the first time ESPNs popular traveling college football show has selected WVU. The undefeated No. 16/16 Mountaineers will take on undefeated No. 2/3 LSU on Saturday in a nationally televised primetime telecast that will air on ABC (Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit) and will kick off at 8 p.m.
ESPN College GameDay Coming to Morgantown
Saturday's WVU-LSU Game Set for 8 p.m. on ABC

This marks the first time in the 25-year history of GameDay that it is heading to Morgantown, and the first time West Virginia is involved in a game that the show is featuring. The actual location of the GameDay set will be released this week.
GameDay, which breaks down the big games and matchups to watch out for that day, is hosted by Chris Fowler with Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso, Erin Andrews and David Pollack. The show starts at 9 a.m. on ESPNU and then continues from 10 a.m. - noon on ESPN.
The Top 20 matchup between the Tigers and Mountaineers is a Gold Rush, presented by EZToUse.com, as all fans are encouraged to wear gold. EZToUse.com will be distributing gold rally towels to WVU fans at the game.
WVU to Recognize Talley

The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is hosting a luncheonin honor of former Mountaineer All-America linebacker Darryl Talley on Friday, Sept. 23, at noon at the Waterfront Hotel.
The luncheon features an outstanding group of speakers, including former Mountaineer head coach and Hall of Famer Don Nehlen, former head coach Frank Cignetti and assistant coach Bob Simmons. Former Talley teammates from both Buffalo (Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas and Cornelius Bennett) and from WVU also will be present.
This luncheon is in conjunction with the on-campus salute to Talley, who is being honored on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the LSU game for his selection into the National Football Foundation’s College Hall of Fame.
Tickets are $50 for individuals and $1,000 and $1,500 for table sponsorships. The deadline for purchasing tickets is Tuesday, Sept. 20 at noon. Please contact the Mountaineer Athletic Club to reserve tickets at 800-433-2072.
Mountaineer Fan Day

The Mountaineer football team will hold its annual Fan Day on Sunday afternoon, August 21, giving West Virginia fans an opportunity to get autographs from their favorite WVU coaches and players.
The Fan Day activities will begin at 1 p.m. in the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility. Gates will open at 12:45 p.m.
Coach Dana Holgorsen, assistant coaches and WVU players will be signing autographs and visiting with fans until 3 p.m.
In an effort to accommodate as many autograph requests as possible, each fan will be limited to one autograph item. Setting up posed pictures with players and coaches will not be allowed in order to keep lines moving and to give as many fans as possible the chance to get an autograph from Mountaineer players and coaches.

The gates open at 6 p.m., and tickets are available for $10 each. They can be purchased at the Milan Puskar Stadium North and West gates on game day with cash or a check, or in advance at the Mountaineer Ticket Office located in the WVU Coliseum. WVU students will be admitted free with a valid ID.
There will be no stadium re-entry passes issued for the game. Stadium seating, restrooms and concessions will be open on the west upper and lower
side only.
The following east side parking lots are available for parking for this year's Gold-Blue Game and will open at 4 p.m. on Friday: F1, F2, F3, F4, D and E. The following hospital parking lots on the west side are available and will open at 5 p.m.: A, A2, M2, K1, K2, K3 and L.
The center and west lots of the large Blue hospital parking areas (hospital parking lots C1-C7 and B) are reserved for hospital parking only and will not be available. (See attached parking map for further information).
Fans are encouraged to attend the Mountaineer Gear sale in the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility pregame from 2-6 p.m., and a free Davisson Brothers concert in the stadium lot (K4) near the Ronald McDonald House from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Fans are permitted to bring their own lawn chairs to the concert; lawn chairs are not permitted inside the stadium for the game. Also, concessions will be sold at both events.
Festivities are set to begin at 7 p.m., with an old timer's game, featuring former Mountaineer players. The simulated game under the lights will conclude WVU's spring football drills. The defense will make up the blue team, while the offense will be on the white squad.
Once again this year, there will not be an autograph session following the game, and fans will not be permitted on the field. Mountaineer Football will conduct its annual Fan Day in August with details being released later this summer.
Mountaineer Gear Sale

The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will conduct its first Mountaineer Gear sale on Friday, April 29, from 2 to 6 p.m., in the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility.
Authentic Mountaineer football gear from the past decade will be on sale to the general public, as part of the festivities surrounding the Gold-Blue spring football game.
Items for sale include limited quantities of the full Nike Combat uniform worn by the Mountaineers for two games during the 2010 season, as well as individual sales of the combat uniform to include helmets, pants, t-shirts and shoes.
In addition to the Nike Combat uniforms, the sale also will feature authentic Mountaineer football gear such as hats, visors, sweatshirts, sideline coaches shirts, jackets, past game jerseys and pants, shoes and cleats, travel bags, bowl shirts and jackets, as well as former pictures and displays from the Puskar Center.
Fans can purchase items by using Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express or cash. No checks will be accepted; prices are non-negotiable and include state sales tax. All sales from the event are final.
"Our fans see a great value in obtaining our older gear, and we are running out of storage space," WVU Associate Athletic Director Michael Szul says. "The sale will provide additional revenue to our department, and will be a great opportunity for Mountaineer football fans to purchase authentic game pants, jerseys, polos and jackets, while adding to the already full day of activities surrounding the Gold-Blue game."
Concessions will be sold for the event, but no food or drink will be permitted in the Caperton facility. A concert by the Davisson Brothers Band at 5:30 p.m., along with an Old Timers game at 7 p.m. with former coaches Jim Carlen, Bobby Bowden, Frank Cignetti and Don Nehlen highlight the activities at the stadium.
The four coaches will also participate in a special roundtable discussion at 4 p.m. at the Waterfront Place Hotel and tickets can be purchased to that session for $100 by calling the Mountaineer Athletic Club at 1-800-433-2072.
Tickets for the spring game are $10 and can be purchased at the Coliseum ticket office or can be purchased at the stadium on gameday beginning at 5 p.m.

The Mountaineer Athletic Club and The Varsity Club, are pleased to announce a Coaches “Chalk Talk” Round Table event, presented by Charleston Law Firm, Bucci, Bailey & Javins, LC.
The event, part of this year’s Gold-Blue Spring Game festivities, will take place at the Waterfront Place Hotel on Friday, April 29, at 4 p.m., and will feature former Mountaineer head coaches Bobby Bowden, Jim Carlen, Frank Cignetti and Don Nehlen. These WVU greats will share stories with the audience from their respective time as Mountaineer head football coach.
Individual tickets are available for $100 per person and a table of 10 can be reserved for $1,000 per table. Proceeds from the event will benefit programs that enhance the overall experience of WVU student-athletes. West Virginia University will hold the annual Gold-Blue spring football scrimmage on Friday, April 29, at 7 p.m., at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium.
Tickets are available for $10 each and can be purchased online at WVUGAME.com or by calling 1-800-WVU GAME. WVU students will be admitted free with a valid ID. Stadium parking information will be released at a later date.
One lucky fan who purchases their Gold-Blue game ticket online at WVUGAME.com by Friday, April 15, will be randomly selected to win a WVU Pro Combat helmet, like the one the Mountaineers wore in the victory over Pitt in the Backyard Brawl.
Fans are invited to attend a free concert featuring the
Davisson Brothers Band outside the stadium pregame. Former Mountaineer Owen Schmitt is scheduled to make an appearance with the band. The concert will take place in the K4 parking lot on the west side of Milan Puskar Stadium and will get underway at 5:30 p.m.
A portion of the proceeds from the Gold-Blue Game once again will benefit WVU Children's Hospital. The Mountaineers have donated more than $600,000 to WVU Children's Hospital during the past 26 years.
